Queries and Guidelines for Small Group Discussions
Instructions to facilitators:
1. Please first read aloud the basic rules for sharing:
Speak out of the silence, and leave a period of silence between speakers.
Speak from your own experience, about your own experience. Concentrate on feelings and changes rather than on thoughts or theories.
Listen carefully and deeply to what is spoken.
Do not respond to what anyone else has said, either to praise or to refute.
Expect to speak only once, until everyone has had a chance to speak.
Respect the confidentiality of what is shared.
Honor each other’s theological differences
2. Please read the queries below as the focus for sharing. These queries are designed to be simple and open ended (see below
3. Please be mindful of the time making sure that everyone has a chance to speak if they choose.
4. Ask the group to enter into worshipful silence, and begin.
